Page 3
Council Memo—June 16, 2015
Cooperative Construction Agreement
However, the City would think that 75%of the power and maintenance would be the City
of Jenkins' responsibility because 3 out of the 4 legs are within Jenkins City Limit, and
25% of the power and maintenance would be the City of Pequot Lakes' responsibility
because 1 out of the 4 legs are within Pequot Lakes City Limit. Another example used
was the existing Hwy 371 /CSAH 11 signal system. Two legs are MnDOT's Hwy 371
and two legs are the County's CSAH 11, but since all four legs are with the City Limit,
Pequot Lakes takes care of power and maintenance. Jim and Todd were going to check
into this.
4.1.B.v. Jim and Todd clarified that the City would only need to paint and maintain the
crosswalk markings on the Myers Road leg. MnDOT was not going to change any of the
language.
5.1. Jim and Todd confirmed that the $68,179.07 included the $6,340.75 mentioned in
4.5 (i.e. the City would not have to pay both of these amounts, just the $68K amount).
