Rural Road Construction Specifications <br /> Dawn Bittner stated that the Planning Commission has worked with Mike <br /> Loven and Mayor Sjoblad to develop the proposed rural road <br /> specifications. The Planning Commission reviewed the policy and is <br /> recommending that the Council adopt the rural road plan. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ADOPT THE RURAL <br /> ROAD CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. Road Construction Specifications (not Rural) <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ADOPT THE ROAD <br /> CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS. COUNCIL MEMBER KARR <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.4. Subsurface Sewage Treatment System (SSTS) Program <br /> Dawn Bittner explained the State requirements for compliance inspections <br /> of subsurface sewage treatment systems. She noted that the Council <br /> directed the Planning Commission to develop a plan to monitor SSTS. The <br /> Planning Commission is recommending that the Council approve the <br /> proposed policy for subsurface sewage treatment system compliance <br /> inspections. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ADOPT THE POLICY FOR <br /> SUBSURFACE SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM COMPLIANCE <br /> INSPECTIONS. COUNCIL MEMBER KARR SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON VOTED <br /> AGAINST THE MOTION. <br /> 7.1. Request to Purchase a Utility Vehicle for the Fire Department <br /> Chief Tom Nelson informed the Council that he has found a used Utility <br /> Truck that could be used by the Fire Department. The Department had <br /> budgeted to purchase a new truck in 2015 at $130,000 through 5-year <br /> equipment certificates. The vehicle is a 2004 truck with 11,000 miles at a <br /> cost of$75,000. The vehicle fits everything they are looking for and will be <br /> a savings of at least $45,000 from that of a new vehicle. <br /> MAYOR SJOBLAD MOVED TO WAIVE THE TWO BID REQUIREMENT <br /> FOR THE PURCHASE OF A USED UTILITY VEHICLE. COUNCIL <br />
