AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />AND <br />LAW ENFORCEMENT LABOR SERVICES LOCAL 490, POLICE DEPARTMENT UNIT <br />PREAMBLE <br />The City of Pequot Lakes, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer," and Law Enforcement Labor <br />Services Local 490. Law Enforcement Labor Services, hereinafter referred to as the "Union" representing <br />employees in those classifications covered by this Agreement, do hereby enter into this Agreement for the <br />purpose of setting forth the full and complete understanding of the parties regarding terms and conditions <br />of employment of the bargaining unit members. This Agreement incorporates the entire understanding of <br />the parties and shall supersede and replace all previous agreements between the parties hereto. <br />ARTICLE 1 <br />RECOGNITION <br />1.1 Law Enforcement Labor Services, shall be recognized as the sole and exclusive collective <br />bargaining agent for a bargaining unit of employees defined as follows: <br />All Police Officers employed by the City of Pequot Lakes Police Department, Pequot Lakes, <br />Minnesota, who are public employees within the meaning of Minn. Stat. 179A.03, subd. 14, <br />excluding the Chief of Police Sergeant, supervisory, confidential and all other employees. <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />EMPLOYER SECURITY <br />2.1 Neither the Union, its officers or agents, or any employee in the bargaining unit, will engage in, <br />encourage, sanction, or support any strike, or the withholding in whole or in part of the full <br />performance of their duties during the life of this Agreement, except as specifically allowed by <br />the Public Employment Labor Relations Act of 1971, as amended. <br />2.2 The failure or refusal on the part of any employee to comply with the provisions of this Article 2 <br />may result in immediate discipline up to and including discharge, which shall be subject to the <br />grievance procedure. <br />2 <br />
