Pequot Lakes
2024 Reappointment Request
December 26, 2023
WiDSETH
We do not have to tell you there has been a lot happening with and in the City in the ways of infrastructure
investment.
We have been successful in helping the City obtain funding assistance for some of your projects.
We will continue to work with the City on balancing the investment in infrastructure with a relatively steady tax
rate while attempting - and it is always a challenge - to not let infrastructure get to the point of disrepair requiring
even larger investments.
It is truly a team effort with the City Council and the City Staff in providing citizens infrastructure investments
that will serve them for years to come.
In 2024, we propose to continue to:
• Attend Council Meetings At No Charge
We will attend your regular Council Meeting each month — and many times Special Council Meetings - at
no charge to the City.
• Answer Miscellaneous Questions at No Charge
We will answer miscellaneous questions (those "I 5-minute" variety) from City Council members, City
staff, and residents at no direct charge to the City.
With all of the potential development and inquiries, we provided about $40,000 in un-billed services to
the City this last year.
It is a value that we need to provide to you as your City Engineer.
• Assignment of Two Engineers
We appreciate the commitment the City has shown us.
In return, we have assigned two engineers to serve as WiDSETH's representatives to the City.
Our primary representative is Tim Houle, - an Owner and licensed civil engineer with 38 years of
experience (27+ years of that working with Pequot Lakes).
Our secondary representative is Emma Clarke, a younger civil engineer -in -training with about 4 years of
experience, originally from the Hackensack area, and familiar with the Pequot Lakes community.
Besides Tim and Emma, there are many others at WiDSETH that have worked on various projects and
have a history and knowledge of the City's infrastructure. Tim is planning on working another 6 years
or so, and his "institutional" knowledge is getting passed along to Emma and others for the benefit of the
City.
Please NOTE that we want to — we NEED to — continually improve on the services we offer you. If you would
like to meet with us, we are always available.
We would like to thank you for the opportunity to provide the City with engineering, architectural, surveying,
