(WiDSETH) has been working with various Councils and Staffs and serving the citizens of Pequot Lakes for about the past 30 years. We respectfully request reappointment as the City's Engineer for 2024. As in years past, having Widseth as your City Engineer does not come with a Contract or any set cost commitment. When a specific project comes along, we will work with you on the scope of work and provide you a cost proposal. Widseth wants to continue to create value for Pequot Lakes. We are client -experience driven. We see ourselves as an extension of City staff and each City Council. As City Councils and City Staff have changed over the years, we have strived to provide the City a continuous foundation and consistent knowledge base. We believe our familiarity with the City helps us provide only those services the City truly needs, and we can be efficient in providing those services (for example, we know what tasks the City can take care of, so, we do not need to spend time on them and bill the City for them) — thus helping the City have a reasonable budget. We know you have a choice when it comes to City Engineering consultants. Besides having some of our employees living within Pequot Lakes and the surrounding area, we enjoy participating in and being a part of the Pequot Lakes area community. With our approximately 50 employees —14 of which are Owners or Associates — in our Baxter office, you and your constituents can rest be assured that your tax money that is invested in WiDSETH stays in this area. No other firm can say that. We have people that are less than 1/2 hour away that can provide their expertise. Even with today's communication technology, there is no substitute for face-to-face interaction and "boots on the ground" service.
