Housing & Redevelopment Authority <br /> a. Appointment of Dan Ronning and Scott Pederson <br /> C. Library Board <br /> a. Appointment of Nicole Hardy and Natalia Lynch <br /> D. Park Commission <br /> a. Reappointment of Sam Clement and Keith Simar <br /> E. Planning Commission <br /> a. Reappointment of Eric Larson and Paula Lang <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2024 BOARDS <br /> AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS; MAYOR GARDNER SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 10.5. Resolution Accepting Resignation and Declare Vacancy <br /> Mayor Gardner updates that Council Member Seils has submitted a letter of <br /> resignation. Her term was set to expire on December 31, 2026. We will need to <br /> declare a vacancy to be able to fill her seat for the remainder of her term. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION <br /> LETTER FROM COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS AND DECLARE A VACANCY, <br /> MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> Mayor Gardner states it is unfortunate that Ms. Seils had to resign. He states we <br /> wish her the best of luck and thank her for her years of service and commitment <br /> to the City. <br /> Discussion ensues on the best way to fill the vacancy. It is agreed to publish the <br /> vacancy, requesting letters of interest be submitted for consideration to fulfill the <br /> remaining portion of the term. Deadline for the letters of interest submissions will <br /> be January 26, 2024. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING MOVES TO SET A DEADLINE OF JANUARY <br /> 26, 2024, AS THE LAST DAY FOR SUBMISSIONS OF LETTERS OF <br /> INTEREST TO FULFILL THE CITY COUNCIL VACANCY, COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION.
