City Council Minutes <br /> March 3, 2015 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> Chief Kiang stated that he would like to start a hiring list for a full time <br /> police officer. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CHIEF <br /> OF POLICE TO START A HIRING LIST FOR A FULL TIME POLICE <br /> OFFICER. COUNCILMEMBER KARR SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> No report. <br /> 10. City Clerk <br /> 10.1. Data Practices Policies <br /> The City Clerk explained that the City required to have a data practices <br /> policy on file and to appoint a responsible authority to administer the <br /> requirements for collection,storage, use and dissemination of government <br /> data within the City. <br /> The Clerk asked the Council to approve the following data practices <br /> policies by adopting the attached resolution: <br /> • Data Practices Policy for Members of the Public <br /> • Data Practices Policy for Data Subjects <br /> • Policy for Ensuring the Security of Not Public Data <br /> •' Data Inventory <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 15- <br /> 07 ADOPTING DATA PRACTICES POLICIES, A POLICY FOR <br /> ENSURING THE SECURITY OF NOT PUBLIC DATA, A DATA <br /> INVENTORY AND APPOINTING A RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Call Special Council Meeting <br /> MAYOR SJOBLAD MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL ON MARCH 24, 2015 AT 6:00 P.M. <br /> TO DISCUSS THE HIGHWAY 371 PROJECT, THE WWTF PLAN AND <br /> THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE STRUCTURE STUDY.
