Rehabilitation of different components of the existing Gravdahl lift station. <br /> (It is the City's main lift station, and we understand it is in need of some <br /> upgrades.) <br /> 2. Addition of a flow meter in the forcemain going out of the Gravdahl lift station to the <br /> stabilization basins. <br /> (More accurate flow measuring can assist in proactively addressing developing <br /> problems as well as providing better operational data to the City.) <br /> 3. Replacing several aerators and associated piping in the stabilization basins. <br /> (These see extensive duty and require periodic replacements to keep the system <br /> operating efficiently, which helps minimize—but does not eliminate—odors.) <br /> 4. Replacing one aeration system blower. <br /> (The three blowers see extensive duty. One blower was previously replaced, and <br /> so the timing was good to continue on a periodic replacement schedule.) <br /> 5. Remove and dispose of sludge, also called biosolids, from the stabilization basins. <br /> (Biosolids have never been removed from the basins. Excess biosolids take up <br /> volume as well as have the potential to cause more than normal odors.) <br /> 6. Addition of a flow meter in the forcemain going out to the discharge field. <br /> (More accurate flow measuring can assist in proactively addressing developing <br /> problems as well as providing better operational data to the City.) <br /> 7. A new row irrigation system on the east side of the new Highway 371. <br /> After the March 3rd meeting, we understand the City further reviewed budgets, available funds, <br /> rates, funding assistance, etc. and decided to scale back on the improvements. <br /> Engineering Architecture Surveying i Environmental <br />
