Park Commission Uodate <br />Kim Churack thanks the Council Members for funding the application of the tree <br />study and the replacement of trees. While nothing has been finalized, they have <br />received word that the applications are being looked at favorably. The Park <br />Board is hoping greatly that funds will anive soon for the Park Grant Project so <br />projects can be accomplished in 2024. <br />The DNR and Sibley Lake Association are working closely with the DNR to figure <br />out how lo rebuild the dam at the end of Mayo Lake that has been removed by <br />unknown residents. <br />The Park Board is looking to replace the park sign at Paul Park, due to renaming <br />that park. And signs for Mayo Lake Nature Preserve. Sheila states these proiects <br />should be completed in eady spring. <br />Mr. Churack reminds the Council Members of the annual Santa's Bobbin' lnto <br />Town and Light Up the Night parade on Saturday, December th. lt is also the <br />date for the lighting of the Mayor's tree. <br />No new updates or council action needed. <br />6.1 Plannino Comm ission Reporl <br />Staff Report and minutes were presenled to Council Members. <br />Mr. Spiczka updates on the request to amend the ordinance for Accessory <br />Structure Permits, removing the requirement to acquire a permit for structures no <br />more than 160 sq. ft. He states that Mr. Burslie has spoken with the DNR as this <br />would apply to all the City's lakeshore property or not lakeshore property, <br />assuming the appropriate zoning is in place for the property. <br />COUNCIL MEi,lBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APROVE THE ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT 23-05, ACCESSORY STRUCTURE PERMITS, TO REMOVE <br />THE REQUIREMENT TO AOUIRE A PERMIT FOR STRUCTURES NO MORE <br />THAN 160 SQ. FT. COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIEO 4-0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY <br />PUBLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT 23.05.
