The developer would pay their full taxes and that portion would <br />then be sent back to the City on increment on an annual basis, to give incentive <br />to that project. <br />Mr. Drown then updates on the business subsidy side of things. TIF 2-1 would <br />limit the expansion of development to 15,000 square feet with the cunent <br />language. He states that is the distinction between the original HOTGL and this <br />project. Mr. Drown explains that this will be a modification of TIF 2-t 1oflF 2-2. <br />TIF 2-2 uses wording under tourism that allows the City to qualify for TIF 2-2. <br />5.2.Public Hearino fo r Busin Subsidv related to TIF 2-2 <br />Mr. Spiczka explains this is a call for a public hearing, not discussion of anything <br />that would take place at the hearing. MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER <br />SEILS, MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 23.19 <br />FOR CALL FOR PUBLIC HEARING OF BUSINESS SUBSIDY IN <br />RELATION TO TIF DISTRICT 2-2. MOTION WAS SECONDED BY <br />COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />Brad Becklin states the EDC has been working on digital marketing strategy. He <br />presents a packet that was given to the EDC by a company named 2060. The <br />EDC Uodate <br />Sheila stated Kurt Stumph appeared at the last meeting and had provided <br />information on the school referendum that is on the ballot and the need for the <br />funding to make necessary improvements. <br />Sheila states there was discussion of the EDC needs for a markeling website <br />that is separate from the City website. lt was explained that the purpose of the <br />City side is for administrative purposes, such as utility billing, etc. lt is to supply <br />City information to its residents. lt was mentioned that Tyler Glen helped design a <br />website for Crosslake EDA and it was free. <br />Sheila updates on the housing projects and states they are moving along nicely. <br />There have been quite a few permits already and the City Housing Trust fund is <br />being utilized. <br />5.4 <br />5.3.
