Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota <br /> Chief Kiang requested the Council to form a partnership with the <br /> Minnesota Internet Crimes against Children Task Force. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO APPROVE AND SIGN THE <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> FORMING A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MINNESOTA INTERNET <br /> CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Highway 371 Update <br /> Tim Houle, City Engineer, informed the Council that two meetings were <br /> recently held with the County and staff regarding cost estimates <br /> associated with turnbacks associated with the Highway 371 project. He <br /> noted that negotiations will continue with the County and he requested the <br /> Council to give direction as to who should be involved in the negotiations. <br /> It was the consensus of the Council to have Council Member Sjoblad, <br /> Mike Loven, and Tim Houle continue turnback negotiations with Crow <br /> Wing County. <br /> 9.2. North Washington Avenue Improvements <br /> Tim Houle informed the Council that partial pay estimates for the <br /> Washington Avenue Project have been requested by the Contractors. <br /> A. Partial Pay Estimates <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE PARTIAL PAY <br /> ESTIMATE #1 TO HOLDEN ELECTRIC IN THE AMOUNT OF $883.50 <br /> FOR THE STREET LIGHTING COMPONENT OF THE NORTH <br /> WASHINGTON AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE PARTIAL PAY <br /> ESTIMATE #2 TO DECHANTAL EXCAVATING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $60,730.74 FOR WORK ON THE NORTH WASHINGTON AVENUE <br /> STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
