City Council Minutes June 3, 2014 Page 3 of 9 Justin Burslie reviewed the third amendment to the Wilderness Resort Villas preliminary plat. He noted that the Planning Commission has recommended approval based on 9 findings of fact and 25 conditions on the conditional use permit. MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF CIC 1079, THIRD AMENDMENT, BASED ON THE 19 FINDINGS OF FACT AND SUBJECT TO THE 25 CONDITIONS OF THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT BEING MET. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPOINT A COMMITTEE TO MONITOR THE REDEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES OF WILDERNESS RESORT VILLAS AND THAT THE COMMITTEE MEET EVERY TWO MONTHS FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS AND EVERY SIX MONTHS AFTER THAT, AND THAT THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS APPOINTED ARE: TODD ENGELS, JIM ORASKOVICH, JUSTIIN BURSLIE, DAWN BITTNER, SCOTT PEDERSON, AND ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM CULLEN LAKE ASSOCIATION. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. The Mayor questioned whether there were any consequences for cutting trees down. Council Member Pederson suggested building an inventory of the trees with the possibility of requiring the developer to inventory the trees. Council Member Sjoblad stated he would like to see the trees inventoried and that the developer post a monetary guarantee that would ensure no further trees are cut than are on the plan. Justin Burslie suggested that the tree issue be included in the developer's agreement. He further stated that one of the conditions is to submit a vegetative plan. He noted that the Planning Commission will make recommendations regarding the trees. 7. Fire Department Report Report received by Council. 7.1.
