Request to Rezone from Agriculture to Rural Residential — David and <br /> Christine Kennedy <br /> Dawn Bittner presented the staff report. She explained that the Kennedy's <br /> are proposing to rezone a 41.96 acre tract of land from agriculture to rural <br /> residential. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the request <br /> and recommends that the ordinance amendment be approved based on <br /> the findings of fact presented in the council report. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 14- <br /> 08 AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF <br /> PEQUOT LAKES. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. Consider Ordinance Amendment Regarding Subsurface Sewage <br /> Treatment Systems <br /> Dawn Bittner presented the staff report. She noted that the City's current <br /> ordinance adopted Crow Wing County's ordinance by reference. The <br /> MPCA is recommending that the City adopt the County's Ordinance in its <br /> entirety rather than by reference. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 14-09 <br /> OF THE CITY CODE TO REGULATE SUBSURFACE SEWAGE <br /> TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND MAKING TECHNICAL AMENDMENTS <br /> TO CHAPTER 17, SECTIONS 3.2 DEFINITIONS, 4.5 BUILDINGS <br /> STANDARDS AND SECTION 7.7 SANITATION STANDARDS. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO ADOPT SUMMARY <br /> PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 14-09. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.4. Downtown Plan <br /> Dawn Bittner reviewed the draft downtown plan. She stated that the <br /> Planning Commission unanimously recommends adoption of the plan. <br />
