Call Meeting to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by C In hen •01 a.m. <br />Chair Jurchen added the following it to the da: 49 - Request to restructure <br />a loan. <br />2. Annroval of 1 -15 -2013 EDC Minutes <br />COMMISSIONER ROGGENKAMP MOVED: TO APPROVE THE <br />1/1512013 EDC MINUTES. COMMISSIONER MERRIT SECONDED THE <br />MOTION 4s MOTION CARRIED 4 -0 <br />3. Water and Sewer Ordinances <br />Tim Houle revicwed the July 1$ 2012, that was done by WSN. The study <br />provided assistaiwe in the drafting of the WAC and SAC ordinances and in the <br />VJAC and SAC fees. He noted that the water and sewer ordinances are finished <br />and in final forma `' -•'that the Attorney has cleaned up a lot of inconsistencies. Mr. <br />Houle sf that t DC had recommended calculating the WAC SAC costs by <br />using the system capacity. <br />Tim Houle pAvided WAC and SAC cost comparisons with surrounding <br />communities for the EDC to review. Using the remaining system capacity, the <br />City of Pequot Lakes had higher costs compared with the other communities. The <br />City Engineer noted that there are always many different pieces of the puzzle <br />affecting the charges for each community. <br />Sheila Haverkamp suggested that the EDC also look at the economic piece of the <br />equation. She stated that the City of Pequot Lakes will be higher per Equivalent <br />Residential Connection (ERC) from surrounding areas and there may be projects <br />that will struggle with the fee structure. <br />
