2023 HOTGL Larsen Parkway Extension Y Y i D E T H
February 6t^, 2023 Oj:P
7. Design the extension of the storm sewer system of catch basins, piping, and storm sewer
manholes.
8. Prepare Larsen Parkway plan and profile roadway drawings.
At the present time, we are not anticipating trail/sidewalks, decorative street lighting, or
streetsca pe/la ndsca ping. If these features are desired, we can work with the City on our efforts
to include these.
9. Due to the amount of land disturbance we anticipate, the City and construction Contractor will
need to obtain a National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Stormwater
Permit from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). We will also prepare a
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
10. Prepare construction drawings, including typical sections, plans, profiles, details, erosion control
sheets, work zone traffic control sheets, and cross sections as needed.
11. Review a "90%" set of Plans with the City and make any necessary adjustments.
12. Prepare MDH and MPCA extension permits.
13. Prepare construction specifications.
14. Estimate quantities and prepare a construction cost estimate.
It is important to note that as with any construction, there may need to be modifications made
to the quantities in the field. As such, we recommend the City budget a contingency of about
10% of the cost estimate (adjust contingency to 10% of construction bid once we receive that).
15. Complete a Gopher State One Call, as required by State Law, prior to the bid. We will also
distribute plans to local utility company contacts.
16. Prepare an Advertisement for Bids and distribute plans online through QuestCDN.
17. Attend the Bid Opening and review bids with the City.
