10.6 Personnel Policy Clarification <br /> Mr. Spiczka stated the Council previously approved the Personnel policy and <br /> did updates that were not approved until December Council meeting. He stated <br /> he would like to back date when the policy went to effect to November 1, 2022. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE SICK LEAVE <br /> PAYOUT TO BE RETROACTIVE TO NOVEMBER 1, 2022. COUNCIL <br /> RONNING SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED. 4-0 <br /> 10.7 Highway 371/County Road 29 Discussion <br /> Richard Spiczka stated a couple Council Members expressed concerns over <br /> the Hwy 371 and County Road 29 intersection. Mayor Gardner stated he <br /> reached out to Heintzman and he replied that he would be interested in <br /> talking with the Council. Discussion ensued about residents and others being <br /> concerned with the intersection concerning accidents and deaths at the <br /> intersection. Sgt Franz stated at the monthly TZD meetings they have <br /> discussed the intersection at length and the engineers and state patrol are <br /> aware of the issues. Council consensus was to reach out to people to have a <br /> meeting and invite the public to discuss the intersection. <br /> 11. Other Business <br /> 11.1 Closed Session in accordance with Minn.Stat. sec. 13D.05, subd. 3(a)for <br /> the evaluation of the performance of Kate Peterson as a City of Pequot <br /> Lakes employee. <br /> Mayor Gardner announced that this agenda item is for evaluation of the <br /> performance of a City of Pequot Lakes employee under Minnesota Statutes, <br /> section 13D.05, subdivision 3, clause a. He stated the employee is Kate <br /> Petersen and Ms. Petersen received written notice of this meeting. <br /> Mayor Gardner further noted that only the officials and consultants of the <br /> City who reasonably require access to this data may be in attendance at any <br /> portion of the closed meeting for this agenda item. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO CLOSE THE MEETING <br /> PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, SECTION 13D.05, <br /> SUBDIVISION <br /> 3(a). COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> The Council went into closed session at 7:40 p.m. <br />
