Operations and Maintenance:
• The monthly MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report was completed and submitted as
required.
• Sampled all monitoring wells around ponds and spray site.
• With the problem of both slide gate valves in need of repair, Rice Lake construction
will do the necessary repairs. A commercial diver was used to place a inflatable ball
into the outlet of the second pond. Water was then pumped over from the primary pond
to get it low enough to begin the repairs, however there wasn't enough room to hold all
of the water in the pond and began overflowing back to the primary pond. Another ball
will be placed into the outlet pipe of the primary pond so the repairs can take place.
• A power outage occurred on Sunday the 12th and the generator was used for about 11/2
hrs, before power was restored. Two of six emergency lighten fixtures did not work,
and batteries were then purchased and tested fine.
Report Submitted By: Gary Giltner
Water/Wastewater Supervisor
City of Pequot Lakes
