Third quarter fire call report: 21 calls <br /> By types: By location: <br /> 6 good intent calls 7 Pequot Lakes <br /> 3 motor vehicle accident/rescue 7 Breezy Point <br /> 3 structure 2 Jenkins Township <br /> 3 grass and brush 2 Loon Lake Township <br /> 1 motor vehicle fire 1 Maple Township <br /> 1 lawn mower fire 1 Moos Lake Township <br /> 1 tractor fire 1 Crosslake (mutual aid) <br /> 1 gas leak <br /> 1 child rescue from tree <br /> 1 mutual aid structure <br /> Last year we had 32 calls during this quarter and a total of 67 at the third quarter <br /> end. This year we have a total of 44 calls after three quarters. <br /> 4. Fire bills: 13 bills sent during the quarter that totaled $6335.00 <br /> 5. Third quarter training report: 23 hours completed <br /> By types: <br /> 6 hours of mass drill which included low angle rescue, ventilation trailer, pump <br /> relay, and building collapse <br /> 5 hours of hose testing <br /> 4 hours RIT team training <br /> 3 hours pump truck operation with water shuttle using tankers <br /> 2 hours auto extrication <br /> 2 hours chainsaw and rescue saw operation <br /> 1 hour of tanker truck pump operation <br /> 6. FEMA grant application: No good news for us <br /> 7. Narveson Management donation: We received a $10,000 donation from all the <br /> property owner's associations that Narveson Management works with. Five <br /> thousand dollars were used to purchase a new, more powerful 7 1/4" cutter for our <br /> Hurst tool. Two thousand dollars were used to purchase a new roof-cutting <br /> chainsaw. The other three thousand will be used for fire turnout gear. <br /> 8. Fire personnel report: <br /> A. Four new fire fighters hired are Dean Arnold, David Ackerman, Jessica <br /> Jacobson, and Katie Petersen <br />
