EDC Minutes <br /> October 18, 2022 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> ensued about the bus routes and that the pick up and drop off amounts had <br /> increased during covid but it seems to be decreasing. Mr. Stumpf stated <br /> that they have seventeen routes and the district owns it busses. Discussion <br /> ensued about the Patriot redesign and that Mr. Stumpf can be used as a <br /> resource for any input needed with regards to that project. <br /> Mr. Stumpf stated they have nine people running for the three seats on the <br /> School Board. <br /> 5. Chamber Update <br /> No update. <br /> 6. Workforce Housing Update <br /> Discussion ensued about there being approximately five projects being <br /> worked on currently which involves about one hundred units and that they <br /> will work on updates for the meeting next month. Council Liaison Pederson <br /> said it seems that things are moving quicker than normal and that the P&Z <br /> Commission and City Council are motivated to make changes. <br /> 7. 2022 Proiect Goals <br /> Chair Lottman stated that he cleaned up the goals sheet from last year and <br /> wanted to look into moving into 2023 and have their goals established for <br /> 2023. <br /> 1. Assist the City with their vision to provide community services that <br /> help, enhance, and continue traditions of being a great place to <br /> live, work and Play. Chair Lottman stated this is on the City's <br /> website and would like input from the Council on how the EDC can <br /> help with the City's vision and goals for 2023. Council Liaison <br /> Pederson said he will discuss it at the next Council meeting. <br /> Discussion ensued about high-speed Internet and adding that as a <br /> goal. <br /> 2. Goals from 2021 <br /> a. Workforce Housing <br /> b. Pequot Lakes Incentive Program <br /> c. Marketing of the Heart of the Good Life <br /> d. Welcoming Community Advocacy Group <br /> 3. Utilize BLAECS's knowledge to have pointed recommendations to <br /> the City Council. <br /> 4. Break ground on (3) project in the Heart of the Good Life and <br /> Interior lots. <br /> 5. Explore Redefining the Pequot Lakes HRA <br /> 8. BLAEDC Update <br />
