City Council Minutes <br /> April 3, 2023 <br /> Page 6of10 <br /> on things to move forward on and it is beneficial for the Commission to be <br /> moving in the same direction as the Council. He said the EDC is asking for some <br /> reciprocation. He asked the Council to put on the agenda the vision of the city. <br /> Discussion ensued about sending information and ideas through the channels, <br /> so it goes through the a process that makes everybody's jobs easier. He asked <br /> the Council to give the EDC stuff to do and said the EDC can share some of the <br /> burden off of the Council. <br /> 6. Planning and Zoning <br /> 6.1. Planning Commission Report <br /> No report. <br /> 6.2. Rezone Request—AJA Infra Galactic LLC <br /> Mayor Gardner stated that he is going to abstain from the next two items on the <br /> agenda for conflict of interest. Jenny Peterson said at the Planning and Zoning <br /> meeting on the 27"'AJA Inter Galactic LLC requested to rezone from Commercial <br /> to Urban Residential on approximately 15 acre parcel. She said the Planning <br /> Commission is recommending the rezone request be approved based on the 12 <br /> findings of fact and no conditions of approval. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE REZONE <br /> APPLICATION NUMBER#23-02 (3858 2BALLARDS BLVD. AJA INTER <br /> GALACTIC PROPERTY OWNERS) BASED ON TWELVE FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> AND NO CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL. COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Discussion ensued about the width of the lot and the buildable area. Ms. <br /> Peterson stated they are already approved to build on this parcel and it will be on <br /> the south point. She said they will be putting in two twin homes with the potential <br /> to put in more. She explained that they will be rental properties. Discussion <br /> ensued about septic and that they have already been approved for that. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-0. MAYOR GARDNER ABSTAINED. <br /> 6.3. Rezone Request—Gardner and Makowskv <br /> Ms. Peterson stated Tyler Gardner and Nicholas Makowsky are requesting a <br /> rezone from Commercial to Urban Residential on an approximately 19 acre <br /> parcel based on the 12 findings of fact. Discussion ensued about the map a <br /> potential cul-de-sac. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APROVE REZONE <br /> APPLICATION NUMBER#23-03 (PIN 29150543— NO PHYSICAL ADDRESS, <br /> TYLER GARDNER AND NICHOLAS MAKOWSKY, PROPERTY OWNERS) <br /> BASED ON TWELVE FINDINGS OF FACT AND NO CONDITIONS OF <br />
