East Twin Lake Association Request to Waive Permit Fees <br /> Chuck Marohn explained that the East Twin Lake Association has <br /> received a DNR Grant for shoreland restoration. He noted that the <br /> Association is requesting the City Council to waive City permitting fees <br /> associated with the project. He also noted that this was reviewed by the <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO WAIVE ALL PERMITTING <br /> FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SHORELAND RESTORATION <br /> PROJECT FOR EAST TWIN LAKE. MAYOR MALECHA SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. Ordinance Amendment to Conservation Design Ordinance <br /> Chuck Marohn noted that the Planning Commission reviewed the <br /> Council's concerns regarding the Conservation Subdivision Ordinance and <br /> provided an explanation of the issues of concern. He further noted that the <br /> _. Planning Commission did not recommend any changes to the ordinance. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE <br /> 08-07, SECOND SERIES, AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY <br /> CODE RELATING TO CONSERVATION SUBDIVISIONS. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned why it is necessary to add the burden of <br /> a conditional use to the subdivision ordinance for a conventional <br /> subdivision. Council Member Oraskovich noted that the examples <br /> provided define reasons for change. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN OPPOSED. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT A SUMMARY <br /> ORDINANCE FOR PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 08-07, SECOND <br /> SERIES, AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO <br /> CONSERVATION SUBDIVISIONS.
