Park Commission Minutes <br /> September 8,2022 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Chair Johnson stated the memorial plaque is attached to the bench at the end of <br /> the trail at Mayo Lake Park. Mr. Roy stated a tree in front of the bench will need <br /> to be removed. Chair Johnson would like to see another bench (being built by the <br /> Boy Scouts) along the trail. Mr. Roy stated the Public Works Department is <br /> having issues with beavers and the culverts at Mayo Lake Park. <br /> Commissioner Moeller inquired about the split rail fence on the Chamber <br /> building. Mr. Roy stated he has priced out the entrance split rail fence at Menards <br /> and will cost approximately $500 to replace. <br /> 7. Griswold Committee — Holiday Decoration Update <br /> Commissioner Lind stated Ms. Peterson has pricing for the tree and path. The <br /> tree will be red and white, the committee is looking into a "bobber' topper, and <br /> the path will be string lights instead of rope lighting. The Committee is still <br /> working with the electrician for power for lighting. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding electricity, extension cords and snowmobile traffic <br /> in the area of the lights. <br /> 8. Next Meeting —October 24, 2024 <br /> Chair Johnson stated the next meeting is on October 24, 2022, at 5:00 PM. <br /> 9. Other Business <br /> Marie McNamara would like to thank the Commission for allowing the memorial <br /> plaque at Mayo Lake Park. Mrs. McNamara inquired about the broken tree in <br /> front of the bench, Mr. Roy stated the removal of the tree is on the list. <br /> 10. Adioumment <br /> There being no further business. COMISSIONER CLEMENT MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING.
