PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2022 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Johnson, Commissioners Churack, Clement, Lind, Melby and <br /> Moeller <br /> Members Absent: Commissioner Boucher <br /> Also Present: Nick Roy, Lead Maintenance; Cheri Seils, Council Liaison <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chair Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS <br /> PRESENTED. COMMISSIONER LIND SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 3. Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER LIND MOVED TO APPROVE THE JULY 14, 2022; PARK <br /> COMMISSION MINUTES AS PRESENTED. COMMISSIONER CLEMENT <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 4. Splash Pad Update <br /> Nick Roy stated the pad, features and grass seed are complete. Commercial <br /> Recreation Specialists need to complete the plumbing. The benches and pavers <br /> will be installed in the spring of 2023. Commissioner Churack stated that the <br /> Splash Pad Committee is planning a grand opening event in May 2023, <br /> fundraising is still going. <br /> 5. Bands in the Park Recap <br /> Consensus of the commission was Bands in the Park went well. Ms. Peterson <br /> will give a recap at the October meeting due to be absent from the meeting. <br /> 6. General Parks Update <br /> Commissioner Lind stated the Sibley Lake Association has delivered the blocks <br /> to Sibley Lake Park to build the retaining wall to the right of the pier. <br />
