Operations and Maintenance:
• The MN Department of Health Monthly Fluoridation Report was completed and
submitted.
• On Sept. 29th,Dean with Fargo Water helped us repair the fire hydrant on West Lake
Street. Everything went well and the fire hydrant is now working properly.
• It was noted while making daily checks, that one of two air compressors at the water
plant was not operating. After determining that it appeared to be electrical, Karl Moon
felt that it was indeed the starter for this compressor. In March, the other starter was
replaced, and has been working fine.
• After making a check on the recently repaired de-humidifier, it was discovered that it
had lost all the oil for the compressor unit. Due to the recent repair of this unit, Mid-
State Refrigeration looked at this again. Since all work was under warranty, the
technician felt that due to the age of the unit another attempt to repair again would be
costly and would exceed the cost for a new one. Since they are able to get this unit at a
reasonable cost($2550.00)with a three year warranty, a new unit will be budgeted for
in the spring.
• Due to recent problems dealing with a valve issue at the plant, a service rep. from
Tonka Filter investigated the cause and needed to replace a solenoid valve in the control
panel to get the main valve to work properly. Another solenoid valve was found faulty
and we were able to install a new one.
• Ordered and installed air dryer filter parts to prevent moisture problems in air lines.
