MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4. Open Forum <br /> �-- No one appeared at open forum. <br /> 5.1. Sheriff Dahl <br /> Sheriff Dahl was present to address the Council. Mr. Dahl discussed the <br /> detention facilities in Crow Wing County,the County wide computer networking <br /> system, and the importance of communication between departments and the <br /> public. Mr. Dahl addressed questions from the Council. <br /> 5.2. Jenkins Township Annexation <br /> A. Presentation from Residents <br /> The following Jenkins Township residents addressed the council. <br /> Mike Dubay, 34115 Birch Trail, Pequot Lakes—Mr. Dubay reviewed the <br /> Jenkins Township Resident Resolution. <br /> Bill Savage, 33180 Balsam Trail, Pequot Lakes—Mr. Savage discussed <br /> his property tax implications if annexed into the Pequot Lakes rural <br /> service district. Mr. Savage noted that he would see a property tax <br /> increase on both parcels of land; however, the larger tax base and lower <br /> tax rate was not taken into consideration. <br />
