City Council Minutes <br />January 8, 2013 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br />----------------------- - - - - -- <br />Officer Ryan requested the Council to authorize a check to Crow Wing <br />County for the purchase of ammunition. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE PAYMENT TO <br />CROW WING COUNTY FOR AMMUNITION IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$1,672.00. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9. Public Works <br />Water and Sewer reports received by Council. <br />9.1. Request to Purchase Back Up Generator <br />Mike Loven requested the Council to purchase a back -up generator for the <br />water plant and sewer lift stations. Mike recommended that the Council <br />approve the lowest of four quotes at $26,700. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />PURCHASE OF A GENERATOR FROM GENERATOR POWER <br />SYSTEMS AT $26,700 PLUS TAX WITH THE FUNDS TO COME FROM <br />THE WATER AND SEWER CAPITAL OUTLAY CARRY OVER <br />ACCOUNTS. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.2. Equipment Purchase <br />Mike Loven requested the Council to purchase a rotary cutter which would <br />mount on the skid steer. He requested the Council to waive the two quote <br />rule for purchases over $5,000 as this quote was included in the quote to <br />purchase the skid steer at an earlier date. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br />PURCHASE OF A ROTARY CUTTER FROM JOHN DEERE AT $6,598 <br />TO BE FUNDED FROM THE 2012 ROADS AND STREETS CAPITAL <br />OUTLAY ACCOUNT AND THAT THE TWO QUOTE REQUIREMENT IS <br />WAIVED. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />9.3. Master Park Plan <br />The Master Park Plan was considered by the Council. <br />
