WASTEWATER
Facility Performance:
a. CBOD Concentration
Influent— mg/1 (Design—250 mg/1)
b. TSS Concentration
Influent— mg/1 (No Design Listed)
c. Effluent Fecal Coliform Geometric Mean— 30 colonies/100 ml
Permit Condition—200 organims/100 ml
d. Flow- Average Daily Flow— 58,563gallons (Design—121,795 gal/day)
Maximum Daily Flow—78,936 gallons
Minimum Daily Flow—39,468 gallons
Total Monthly Flow— 1,698,348 gallons
II. Operations and Maintenance:
• The monthly MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report was completed and submitted as
required.
• Completed all sewer jetting by the 2nd.
• On the 8th, collected quarterly monitoring well samples and sent to lab for analysis.
• On the 15th,hooked up generator to the Brown&Heath lift station to exercise it and
make sure it runs the pumps, however the generator began to overheat and was
immediately shut-down. Pequot automotive needed to replace a radiator hose and refill
with coolant. We will again attempt to perform a test on the generator to make sure all
is working fine. Tested again after repairs, and is working fine.
• On the 18th, irrigation was completed. On the 21st,we evaluated the air leaks that were
present in the secondary pond, and were able to repair ourselves. We then began
transferring the primary pond over to the secondary pond. After getting pond level
down below the leaks, we can see what's wrong. Now we need to determine the best
way to repair the lines.
Report Submitted By: Gary Giltner
Water/Wastewater Supervisor
City of Pequot Lakes
