Pipe effluent to Pine River Area Sanitary District - $3.3 million <br />Tim Houle stated that the recommended method is the rapid infiltration <br />basin. <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to move forward with the rapid <br />infiltration basins method of treatment. <br />Highway 371 Road Turnbacks <br />A. CR 112 and CSAH 11 Estimated Turnback Costs <br />Tim Houle explained that he has put together cost estimates on the <br />proposed turn backs of CR 112 and CSAH 11, <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO AUTHORIZE WSN TO PROVIDE <br />THE COST ESTIMATES TO THE COUNTY ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4.0. <br />B. CR 1 12lRasmussen/Ken nedv <br />Tim Houle updated the Council on the realignment portion of CR <br />112 in relation to the Rasmussen property. The Turnback <br />Committee has recommended that the dead end portion of the <br />property be vacated and returned to the adjoining propedy owners <br />Mr. Rasmussen and Mr. Kennedy. The road does not serve Mr, <br />Rasmussen, but it does parallel Mr. Kennedy's parcel, However, <br />Mr. Kennedy has access to the CR 112 without this road. The <br />Committee recommends that the City not maintain the road. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER MOVED TO AUTHORIZE A <br />LETTER FROM THE CITY TO MNDOT AND THE COUNTY <br />INFORMING THEM THAT MNDOT CAN REMOVE THE <br />PAVEMENT AND ROADBED AND ESTABLISH VEGETATION <br />ON THE DEADEND PORTION OF THE ROAD AND THE CITY <br />WILL THEN VACATE THE PROPERTY TO THE ADJOINING <br />PROPERTY OWNERS. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />Council Member Gardner questioned whether anyone has talked to <br />the two property owners adjacent to the road. Council Member <br />Sjoblad noted that he had talked to Rasmussen but not Kennedy. <br />Mr, Rasmussen did not have a concern with eliminating the road.
