May 28, 2008 <br /> WIDSETH <br /> SMITH <br /> NOLTING <br /> The Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> City of Pequot Lakes <br /> 4368 County Road 11 <br /> Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 <br /> RE: Engineering Services Proposal <br /> Tower Square Improvements <br /> Dear Mayor and Members of the Council: <br /> Due to persistent drainage issues around the Cole Memorial Building, the City of Pequot <br /> Lakes is considering reconstruction of the building's parking lot and a portion of Tower <br /> Square. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to present this proposal. <br /> WSN proposes the following scope of services: <br /> Tasks <br /> 1. Gather existing field topographic data around the parking lot and Tower Square. <br /> Unless obvious during our field data gathering, we do not anticipate preparing a <br /> boundary or R/W survey. <br /> 2. Prepare a preliminary parking lot and street layout, including a method or methods of <br /> handling stormwater runoff. <br /> 3. Meet with the County once to review any possible connections to their Front Street <br /> storm drainage system, and then meet once with City staff to review the above <br /> information. <br /> 4. With the above feedback, prepare final design and Construction Documents. <br /> Prepare final plans, specifications, and an opinion of probable construction cost <br /> for City bidding purposes. <br /> Prepare Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) National Pollutant <br /> Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Stormwater Permit as well as <br /> the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). <br /> Meet with City personnel for review.
