b. TSS Concentration
Influent — mg/1 (No Design Listed)
 Effluent — mg/1
c. Effluent Fecal Coliform Geometric Mean — organisms/100 ml
Permit Condition — 200 organims/100 ml
d. Operations and Maintenance:
• The monthly MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report was completed and submitted as
required.
• Needed to replace motor and gearbox assembly on one of the irrigators and it is
working fine. Have been working on the irrigators so we can begin discharging next
month.
• Have been sewer jetting and have completed approximately 45% of the city. No real
problems have been encountered so far. An offset joint was discovered on Spruce St.
• On the 11th, received a call from the Police Dept. that wastewater was surfacing in the
roadway and the shoulder of East Sibley St. It was determined that the force-main from
the U.B.C. lift station was broke. The entire block was barricaded, emergency locates
were completed and Tom's Backhoe Service was contacted to do the repair work.
Northland Septic was also called in to maintain the water level in the lift station while
the work was being completed. The force main was encased in a 90ft. steel casing,
which had been put there when the rail line went through. This all had to be removed
and a new sewer line was installed. The project started at 5:30 p.m. and went to 2:30
a.m. the following morning. Total cost will slightly exceed $10,000.
• Contacted Mark Jurchen to see if any of the project would be covered under the city's
insurance. A letter from the League of Minnesota. Cities stated no claims for
underground piping would be covered.
• Electric Pump installed a new controller at the Brown & Heath lift station on the 20th, at
a fraction of the cost of a new control panel. This new controller has been working fine.
• On the 21st, observed the sewer connection at the Trailside Estates lift station.
Report Submitted By: Gary Gilmer
Water/Wastewater Supervisor
City of Pequot Lakes
L.,
