Planning Commission Report <br /> Dawn Bittner stated that the Planning Commission had met in May, <br /> however, there is nothing forwarded to the Council at this time. <br /> 6.2. Discussion on City Planner Position <br /> Dawn Bittner indicated that she has researched the position of planner as <br /> directed by the Council in 2007. She indicated that she surveyed <br /> surrounding cities regarding a planner position. She reviewed the <br /> information that she had prepared. The Clerk indicated that the Council <br /> had requested that this information be available for Council review prior to <br /> the budget preparation for 2009. It was the consensus of the Council to <br /> keep the information for future reference. <br /> 7. Fire Department Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 7.1 . Fire Relief Benefit Level Increase <br /> Larry Oaks noted that the Fire Relief Board has requested an Increase <br /> from $2,500 to $2,900 per year in the fire relief benefit level. Larry <br /> answered questions from the Council regarding the increase. He noted <br /> that the fund is solvent at $2,977. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO INCREASE THE FIRE RELIEF <br /> BENEFIT LEVEL FROM $2500 TO $2900. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 8. Water/Wastewater Monthly Report <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned the amount of water production <br /> compared to water that has not been accounted for. Gary Giltner indicated <br /> that it is off by quite a few gallons. He noted that this could be due to water <br /> being used that is not metered such as flushing hydrants and street <br /> sweeping. <br /> Discussion was held on a sewer line break by UBC. Gary explained what <br /> happened and what was done to correct the problem. He thanked the <br /> �.. Police Department for assisting by securing the area. Council Member <br />
