Legal Services Rate Changes <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS MOVED TO ACCEPT THE HOURLY RATE <br /> CHANGES FORM FLAHERTY& HOOD, P.A. COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.3. Personnel Policy Adoption 2023 <br /> Council Member Pederson asked if the vehicle policy allowed Public Works or <br /> others to take home a city vehicle if needed and if not they should look at that. <br /> Council consensus was to remove the use of vehicles from the policy and <br /> discuss at a future meeting. Discussion ensued that if there is an emergency <br /> need to take a vehicle home is to be authorized by City Administrator Council <br /> asked to strike Christmas Eve and that the personnel policy should have the <br /> same holidays as the union holidays. They Council agreed to add Juneteenth if it <br /> is approved for the union contract if the state adopts it. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE THE ADOPTION OF <br /> THE UPDATED PERSONNEL POLICY WITH THE VEHICLE POLICY <br /> INFORMATION REMOVED AND CHRISTMAS EVE VACATION STRIKED. <br /> MOTION SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.4. 2023 City Meeting Schedule <br /> Mr. Spiczka stated has every City meeting for Council and Commissions and it <br /> also includes the Council pay days. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2023 CITY <br /> MEETING SCHEDULE. MOTION SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.5. HRA Update/Discussion <br /> Mr. Spiczka stated the HRA Director and Maintenance worker resigned. Pat <br /> Dullum stated that Pequot Lakes will be meeting with Brainerd HRA Director and <br /> Chairman. She said Pequot does not have the resources like Brainerd does and <br /> it is very difficult to get qualified people for the jobs that they have. She stated on <br /> home is that they can transfer the Pequot Lakes HRA into the Brainerd HRA. She <br /> said they have more man power. She stated the Pequot Director staying until the <br /> end of December and is currently training the staff member with duties. She <br /> stated December 6th is maintenance termination date. She said they are hoping <br /> to fill the maintenance with a contract with a handyman. Ms. Dullum stated they <br /> have the Director's work duties by month so they know what needs to be done. <br />
