Storm Water Management Utility Council Memo <br /> May 6, 2008 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> • July 18, 2006 — This was the date of the special work <br /> session — The Council requested more information — <br /> especially for the low density non residential parcels <br /> • June 19, 2007 — See attached Council Minutes. At this <br /> meeting the Council did move to implement the storm <br /> water fee to all properties. Prior to the implementation <br /> however, the Council requested the following <br /> information: <br /> • Put together a 5-10 year capital improvement plan <br /> • Work with the staff to get Sibley Township properties into the billing <br /> system <br /> • Review the existing parcels that are being billed for storm water <br /> management for accuracy <br /> • Look at what the City is currently generating in dollars at the current <br /> rate <br /> • Provide a comparison to the Council showing a reduced rate for <br /> commercial properties <br /> • Amend the ordinance to show the new rate if applicable and to <br /> change the name of the fee to a Storm Water Management Fee. <br /> • Have a public informational hearing at a Council meeting prior to <br /> implementing the fee <br /> Staff has completed the above items. This meeting has been <br /> published as a public informational hearing. Tim Houle <br /> will be prepared to speak to the Council and any public <br /> present about this issue. <br /> Council Action Requested: <br /> 1 . Council Motion to adopt the attached ordinance <br /> amendment to the storm water management <br /> regulations <br />
