Clerk's March Staff Report
• Health Insurance — Appointed Council Member to the Committee
Each Council action requires some type of action from the Clerk's office to ensure that
all Council direction is followed through.
Park Board
The Park Board met in March for its monthly meeting. See attached draft minutes. The
Park Board is focusing on getting the Trailside Park in shape for the Governor's Opener
and also on following through with the Ox Trot. I attended a meeting with Mr. Gunther,
the Mayor, Park Board Chair Del and Park Board Member Koslofsky. Those present
discussed the theme that would be used to paint the ox.
Safety Committee Meetinj' Minutes
The Safety Committee met in March for its regular monthly meeting. (See attached
minutes). The committee has progressed greatly in the area of safety requirements.
• In April the Emergency Preparedness plan will be approved by Council. Janet
Wedan should be commended for all the work she did on compiling the
information for the plan.
• All City supervisors received a required 2 hour drug and alcohol training which
reviews procedures to follow for drug and alcohol incidences involving
employees during work hours.
• Mike Loven is working on a building evacuation plan.
• The City has received an AED to be located at the City Hall. Most employees
have been trained to use this. A refresher will be offered.
Projects
AUDIT
The Auditors have been at City Hall the entire week of March 24th. They have definitely
kept the Clerk's office busy. As far as I can tell all is going well. The audit will be
presented to the Council at the May meeting. Nancy Malecha should be commended for
gathering all of the required audit information and for working closely with our Auditors.
She has done an excellent job.
STORM WATER MANAGEMENT FEE
We have entered all of the parcel data into the system for the implementation of the storm
water management fee for the entire City. We have met with our Engineers and
Maintenance department to discuss the next steps. The information will be presented to
the Council, hopefully, at the May Council meeting.
