MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> City Clerk's Office <br /> March, 2008 <br /> Meetings <br /> City Council Meetings <br /> The City Council held one meeting in March. No special meetings were held. The <br /> Council took the following actions at that meeting: <br /> • Authorized the sale of two business park lots <br /> • Gorton Painting — The closing on this lot took place in March. <br /> • TruGreen Company — This lot is scheduled to close at a later date <br /> • City Code Codification — Council approved new code <br /> • The City Code is now posted on the City's web site. The code is hosted by <br /> Community Growth <br /> • Police Union — Contact a labor negotiator <br /> • The City Attorney has contacted Steve Fecker to serve as the City's attorney <br /> • Trailside Estates — Directed Attorney to contact bonding company <br /> • The City Attorney has contacted the bonding company. I have been in contact <br /> with the developer. Mr. Smith has indicated that he wants to work with the <br /> City. I informed the developer that I would discuss this with the Council and <br /> get back to him regarding the Council's decision. <br /> • Planning Commission Appointments <br /> • The Council reappointed Tommy Woog, Scott Pederson and Mary Peterson <br /> • Downtown Plan — Directed plan to be presented to Chamber and Economic <br /> Development Committee <br /> • The EDC has reviewed the plan and will be making a recommendation to the <br /> Council <br /> • The plan will be presented to the Chamber next month <br /> • Contractor Water Use Policy — approved by Council <br /> • Police Department <br /> • Acknowledged that Officer Kate Peterson has completed probation <br /> • Hired part time officer Brian Silgjord <br /> • Capital Assets — Approved revised useful life table <br /> • End of Year Budget Report for 2007 — Approved by Council <br /> • Ox Trot — Authorized the purchase of the Ox <br />
