PEQUOT LAKES COMMUNITY LIBRARY <br /> BOARD MINUTES SEPTEMBER 13, 2022 <br /> Members Present: Terri Grimes, Mark Jurchen,Stacey Paulbeck, Shannon Wheeler, Courtney <br /> Gran, Faith Kimbler, Rene Moodie, Board Members. Also present were Joell Tvedt, Nancy <br /> Adams,Ann Hutchings, Linda Olson, and Angie Duus. The meeting was called to order at <br /> 4:30PM by Chairman Jurchen <br /> Welcome and Introductions: Linda Olson was introduced to the board and each member <br /> shared their association with the library. <br /> Minutes: The minutes were submitted to the board via email. Terri Grimes moved and Stacey <br /> Paulbeck seconded a motion to approve. Motion carried. <br /> Financial Report: The City of Pequot Lakes is responsible for the accounting function and the <br /> latest reports ending 7/31/22 were emailed to the board previously. Faith Kimbler moved and <br /> Courtney Gran seconded a motion to approved. Motion passed. <br /> Meeting/Tech Room Update: Mark Jurchen reported to the board that a majority of the <br /> equipment has been purchased and installed. The smart TV, Owl System, Laptop, and digital <br /> sign TV have all been purchased. The digital sign TV was damaged on arrival and a replacement <br /> is being secured. The only item left to purchase is the smart board. Currently the type of board <br /> is being reviewed to ensure the proper type is installed. Mark recognized Tony Koch, his <br /> grandson,for assisting in the installation and set up process. <br /> Chamber of Commerce Hosting: Courtney arranged to host a chamber open house on <br /> November 30th, 2022 at the library. It will begin at 7:45AM. Board members are encouraged to <br /> attend. Final details will be announced in the near future. <br /> Wonder Trek Children's Museum: Mark and Terri indicated that Wonder Trek had to rent a <br /> trailer to transport equipment for the Reading Program's event at Trailside. A request was <br /> made for an additional $100 to be donated to the Children's Museum to help cover the cost. <br /> Terri moved and Rene seconded a motion to do so. Motion carried with Shannon Wheeler <br /> abstaining as she serves on the Children's Museum Board. <br /> Summer Reading Report: Terri expressed her gratitude to the board,Tony, Izzy, and Lucy Koch, <br /> (Mark's grandchildren) and Mark, for another successful year in the Summer Reading program. <br /> She also thanked Nancy Adams for her continued loyal support over the 12 years that Terri has <br />
