Park Commission Minutes <br /> April 14, 2022 <br /> Page 2 <br /> • Guaranteed/pending funds - $12,539 <br /> • Waiting for two checks from Brainerd Jaycee's <br /> • Has sold 3 sponsorships which is 1 bench for the splash pad (2 benches <br /> are approved) <br /> • $23,000 funds left to raise <br /> • April 28th—Tasty Pizza Fundraiser(20% of profits go directly to the Splash <br /> Pad) <br /> • May 14th— Garage Sale at the Cole Memorial Building, this is also a stop <br /> on the Block Party punch card <br /> • Selling Merchant discount cards <br /> Ms. Gonczy also stated Pequot Lakes Splash Pad website is now active. <br /> 7. Capital Improvement Plan <br /> Ms. Peterson asked the commission to take the handouts for the Capital <br /> Improvement Plan and Budget home and bring ideas for each, as well as the <br /> grant to the May 12, 2022, meeting to complete the plan for 2022/2023. <br /> 8. Franchise Fees <br /> Ms. Peterson stated the city has not received first quarter fees as of today. She <br /> will bring the total amount to the May meeting for the commission to decide <br /> where they will earmark first quarter funds. <br /> 9. Art in the Park <br /> Commissioner Churack stated that she spoke with Todd Knutson, High School <br /> Art teacher regarding the art in the park. Mr. Knutson will let her know, after the <br /> festival of arts, about new art pieces for this spring. Commissioner Churack also <br /> stated that there will be two pieces of art for the Bean Hole fence by the end <br /> of the school year. <br /> 10. Next Meeting Date— May 12, 2022 <br /> All Commission members present will be at the May 12, 2022, meeting. <br /> 11. Other Business <br /> Jeanne Haurum presented an idea for the Santa's Bobbin into Town float as well <br /> as gave an update that she is working on a possible "official" City of Pequot flag. <br /> The consensus of the commission is for Jeanne to move forward with her idea for <br /> the float and thanked her for presenting. <br />
