Bidding Phase Assistance Prepare an Advertisement for Bids and submit to the Construction Bulletin, the Echo Newspaper, and the Brainerd Daily Dispatch Newspaper. Issue Contract Documents to bidders, address bidders' questions, issue addenda as required, attend the bid opening, and prepare a tabulation of bids and a recommendation of award. City is to pay any advertisement costs. 10.Construction Phase Assistance Provide one set of centerline subgrade stakes for use in roadway construction as well as one set of stakes where required for storm sewer and culvert installations. If the City desires conformed to construction record drawings, this would be `.. treated as additional work and we would provide an estimate of our effort if requested. Similar to recent road improvement projects, City Staff will be performing construction observation on the project. We will assist Staff in this task as requested. Until the final layout of improvements is determined, we cannot provide you with our estimates of efforts for each of these tasks. However, based on past City projects, and wanting to provide you with budget numbers, we would estimate our effort will be approximately $30,000 for Tasks 8, 9, and 10. Depending on communications with the School, we will endeavor to complete this work so that construction, if the City so desires, could occur in 2008 (and conclude before the first football game in the fall). The fact of the matter is though, that we will have to see how quickly decisions are made before the City makes the final call on whether to construct in 2008 or possibly in 2009.
