AGENDA ITEM #11 .3. <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: January 8, 2008 <br /> Subject: Council Salaries <br /> Report: This item is on the agenda to give Council <br /> Members time to think about a change in the Council wage <br /> and wage structure. In February the City will be codifying <br /> its code of ordinances. This is the time to clean up old <br /> ordinances on the books. <br /> Attached is ordinance No. 129 which was adopted in 1980 <br /> establishing compensation for Mayor and Council at $100 <br /> per month and $75 per month. <br /> On March 8, 2000, the Council voted to offer health <br /> insurance to Council Members or $300 per month if the <br /> insurance is not used. <br /> Our present health insurance plan description states that an <br /> employee must be working 20 hours per week to be eligible <br /> to enroll in the health insurance plan. (See attached). This <br /> has not been enforced by the health insurance company at <br />
