Mikayla Schmidt is the City Planner for the City of Northfield. <br /> Mikayla attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for her bachelor's degree with a double major in <br /> Land Use Planning and Field Biology. Graduating during the Great Recession led Mikayla to work a <br /> variety of jobs—equine veterinarian technician,barn manager,and bartender and deputy city clerk— <br /> before landing with Northfield.Mikayla's focus on customer service, "get-to-yes"mentality and seniority <br /> with the City has provided her with the ability to assist with anything from questions on setbacks to <br /> navigating controversial development projects. <br /> Susan Morris-Isanti County Commissioner- <br /> Commissioner Susan Morris was elected in 2006 to Isanti County's District 5,representing three <br /> townships and the East-side of the City of Cambridge. <br /> She has been a leader on several initiatives,one being the Isanti County Rural Retail Ordinance. This <br /> made it possible for residents in the rural part of the county to have businesses such as boutiques,art <br /> fairs, wedding venues,and distilleries. <br /> Commissioner Morris has led locally in Isanti County on many senior issues.She is on the Board of <br /> Directors for the Isanti County Commission on Aging,as well as the Central Minnesota Council on Aging, <br /> and served on the Act on Alzheimer's work group. <br /> Commissioner Morris was the President of the Association of Minnesota Counties(AMC)in 2018.She <br /> currently serves on the National Association of Counties(NACO)Board of Directors,and is on the Health <br /> and Human Services Policy Committee. <br />
