City Council Minutes <br /> December 7, 2021 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br /> 5. Presentations <br /> 5.1. WAC/SAC Waiver Proposal <br /> Mark Jurchen presented the staff report to the Council on behalf of the Economic <br /> Development Commission and Workforce Housing Taskforce the SAC/WAC fee <br /> waiver program. <br /> Council Member Ronning asked Mr. Jurchen to explain item #5 on the <br /> agreement. <br /> Council Member Pederson inquired about the home cost of$200,000. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding item numbers four and five of the agreement, the <br /> minimum market value, infill area, and agreement. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE SAC/WAC FEE <br /> WAIVER PROGRAM. COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5.2. SAC &WAC Fees—Jack Schmidt <br /> Mr. Schmidt inquired about if there were WAC/SAC fees were used on the <br /> Rasmussen Road Project. Ms. Duus stated that there were no WAC/SAC fees <br /> were used for that project. <br /> Mr. Schmidt voices his concerns regarding paying a SAC fee at his property and <br /> that the City is charging citizens for sewer charges in the summer even if the <br /> water does not go into the sewer. The Council stated that Mr. Schmidt and all <br /> citizens have an option to purchase a deduct meter to allow for less sewer <br /> charges. <br /> 5.3. 2022 BLAEDC Agreement <br /> Tyler Glynn, BLAEDC's Executive Director, presented the agreement to the <br /> Council. Mr. Glynn stated there is a complete profile of Pequot Lakes on the <br /> BLAEDC website including the industrial park, and Heart of the Good Life <br /> Development. Mr. Glynn stated he works as the City's liaison to the County and <br /> to Crow Wing County HRA. Mr. Glynn gave an overview of what BLAEDC does <br /> with the funds and for the City. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE 2022 <br /> AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH BLAEDC IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $10,600. COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5.4. Statutory Limit Waiver <br />
