7. Patrol officer Pat Pickar <br /> AOR-Area of Responsibility <br /> Chief-responsible for the day-to-day operation,setting goals,vision,mission and direction of the <br /> department.Setting and developing policy for the department in compliance with POST(Police Officers <br /> Standards and Training)mandates.POST is our licensing authority. Reading and researching mandates <br /> setting up training to meet mandates. Meeting and working with the public and our law enforcement <br /> federal,state and local partners. Please see the police chief job description for further detail. <br /> If the council wishes I could withdraw from all outside committee/board involvements and fill in as a <br /> floater for shifts that go unfilled and also take back delegated duties. Officers are scheduled to work <br /> 2080 hours per year however between comp time,vacation time,sick time,holiday and training,officers <br /> really are only working about 1910 or 170 hours less than the 2080. <br /> Officer Manager-Administrative support to chief and officers.Prepares a variety of reports and records, <br /> council reports and memos on behalf of the chief in a timely matter,examples are;answers telephone <br /> calls,waits on public walk-ins,provides copies of police reports,prepares and processes police records <br /> and files for the public,city and county attorney's office,submits in-custody reports to city and county <br /> attorney's office,prepares squad and body warn camera videos for city and county attorney's office. <br /> Processes eCharging complaints,transcribes statements for city and county attorney's office. Please see <br /> the job description for specific details. <br /> Sergeant-Assist the chief with managing and directing activities with police department as assigned. <br /> Provides supervision to police officers and office staff,preparing annual evaluations, managing work <br /> schedule and submitting timesheets,providing direction and coaching to officers,reviews reports, <br /> oversees budget,manages the predatory offender program,manages the TZD program,investigating <br /> complaints against members of the department,patrol of community and responding to calls for <br /> service,maintaining relationships with other communities and law enforcement partners.The sergeant <br /> assumes the duties of the Chief of Police in his absence. Sergeant Franz is a certified Paramedic and a <br /> Drug Recognition Expert.Sergeant Franz is a member of the Minnesota Mobile Medical Team and the <br /> Central Minnesota Regional Trauma Advisory Committee which is an elected position.Please see the job <br /> description for specific details. <br /> School Resource Officer SRO Fyle-Officer responsible for building and maintaining relationship with the <br /> school and venders that provide sport services to the school.Officers works directly with school <br /> counselors and the courts as it relates to student behavioral issues and truancy.Other duties like Seat <br /> belt safety tech,Zone three first responder(President),Alice Instructor trainer, Instructor stranger <br /> danger and online safety training. Please see the job description for specific details. <br /> Patrol officer Davis-Patrols,enforcement of laws,detects and prevents crime,and protects life and <br /> property.Davis provides the department with firearm maintenance and firearms instruction, In charge <br /> of the Reserves,assists with realistic training scenarios.Please see the job description for specific <br /> details. <br /> Patrol officer Petersen-Patrols,enforcement of laws,detects and prevents crime,and protects life and <br /> property.Officer Petersen is currently on light duty(since June 2020)and filling in for Office Manager <br /> LeBlanc who is also out on FMLA. <br />
