Inventory of Existing Parkland: <br />Pequot Lakes currently has five park areas with 9.5 acres of parkland, which includes <br />Sibley Lake Park, Trailside Park (center of town), Gildner Park, Trailside North Park, <br />and Bobber Park. The Historic Fire Tower, while owned by the DNR, is maintained by <br />the City. Additional recreational facilities are available during non - school hours at the <br />Pequot Lakes Middle School/High School complex. <br />The following provides a description of each park. Proposed recommendations are based <br />on a park assessment completed by members of the Park Commission and City staff. <br />TRAILSIDE NORTH PARK — Mini Park: <br />Assessment: <br />This .54 acre park is classified as a mini -nark, located off County Road 112 in the <br />Trailside Estates subdivision. The park includes playground equipment, swings, benches, <br />picnic table, barbeque grill, gazebo and bike racks. The park area is grass covered with <br />some trees located in the park. This is considered a walk -to park but has street parking <br />available. <br />Proposed Improvements: <br />• Post hours of the park <br />
