City Council Minutes <br />February 3, 2014 <br />Page 2 of 9 <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />4. Open Forum <br />There was no one present for open forum. <br />5. Presentations <br />5.1. Council Priorities Update <br />The Clerk explained that the Council set priorities for the year 2014 during <br />a special Council work session in January. The Council discussed the top <br />priorities. <br />PARKS: <br />Siblev Lake Park — The Mayor noted that the Park Commission is <br />currently working on the project. <br />• The Council directed the Park Commission to continue <br />working on the Sibley Lake Park plan. <br />Outdoor Ice Skatinq Rink <br />• The Council directed the Park Commission to research <br />locations for an outdoor skating rink. <br />PLANNING: The Council identified updating the downtown plan as a top <br />priority. The Mayor suggested that this be discussed later in the agenda <br />along with the Planning Commission Comprehensive Plan goals. <br />PUBLIC WORKS: <br />Street Criteria Plan - The Council suggested that the City form criteria to <br />help determine priority for road enhancement projects. <br />• The Council directed the formation of a committee to develop <br />a road priority plan. The Committee shall consist of: Council <br />Member Pederson, Council Member Gardner, Justin Burslie, <br />Tim Houle, Mike Loven, one Planning Commission Member <br />
