cities. Nancy Malecha asked our financial software <br />company if they are aware of other clients budget in this <br />manner. They indicated that less than 1% of the clients they <br />service budget in this manner. I also sent out a list serve <br />request to city finance officers and received only 2 <br />responses, both negative. <br />The Office of the State Auditor suggested that we look at <br />how much more of a benefit this will provide versus the <br />time it will take to prepare and the accuracy and reliability <br />of the information that will be provided. <br />This information is provided in an attempt to inform the <br />Council of what is involved to change to this style of <br />budgeting. <br />Council Action Requested: If the Council wishes to <br />continue with the seasonal style of budgeting, no action is <br />required. <br />If the Council wishes to return to the previous budgeting <br />process, a motion to rescind the motion made on November <br />3rd is required. <br />OR <br />
