November 17, 2009 Minutes <br />Housing & Redevelopment Authority <br />Commissioners present: Peterson, Marchwick, Jurchen, Youngberg, Nagel. Also present: Director O'Brien, <br />Assistant Director Anderson, Mayor Adams, Tenants <br />5:00 P.M Chairman Peterson called to order the regular meeting of the Housing Authority. <br />Consent Agenda approved. M/Youngberg S/ Marchwick. All ayes motion carried. <br />West Grove <br />The Director presented 2 bids that were received to complete the Capital Needs Assessment as required by <br />US Bank. WSN $3,000; RemWhirl $2,000. Rem Whirl was awarded the contract M/Nagel S /Jurchen. All <br />ayes motion carried. <br />Sibley Terrace <br />5.1 Kitchen Remodel — The Director updated the board on the units that were selected. The units were <br />selected based on the condition of the kitchens — units chosen were 17 6,117,118,121,122,123. The Board <br />was shown the samples of colors and hardware that the staff recommended, and the board concurred. The <br />Director explained that the base bid was for laminate cupboards; however the contractor has presented an <br />option of Oak veneer for an additional $117.60 /unit. The board looked at the samples and chose to upgrade <br />to the Oak veneer. M/Jurchen S/Youngberg. All ayes motion carried. <br />Parkview <br />No Business <br />Alpine <br />No Business <br />Executive Directors Report <br />The director recommended refunding unit 102a's security deposit minus carpet cleaning charges. M/Jurchen <br />S/Nagel. All ayes motion carried. <br />The director asked the board for clarification on the Contractor Policy that was passed in September. <br />She wanted to be sure that the board wanted this policy enforced on all contractors with no exceptions. <br />One of our contractors felt that this policy did not apply to her based on a conversation with a board <br />member, so The Director felt it was important to get this clarification from the board. The board agreed <br />that the policy was to be applied to all contractors doing business with the HRA on HRA property. <br />Maintenance Engineers Report <br />No Report. <br />Other Business <br />
