■ DEVELOPMENT OF ACTION PLAN BY INDUSTRY /ECONOMIC SEGMENT <br />RENEWABLE ENERGY /FUEL OPTIONS <br />:) PRIORITY: 7 (MODERATE TO HIGH <br />Description <br />Provide a renewable energy /fuel facility within the area that may include the following options: <br />electric power and steam generation from wood pellets or landfill methane gas; ethanol from <br />cellulosic plant material; or biodiesel fuel (see process charts on next page). <br />Opportunity for Crow <br />With rail access and availability of methane gas at the landfill, there are options for developing a <br />Wing County <br />renewable energy /fuel facility in the area. There is an opportunity to not only sell electricity but <br />also attract businesses that need steam as well as support a commercial greenhouse operation <br />heated by the condensed steam. <br />Resource Requirements <br />Resource Requirement Evaluation of Resource <br />and Evaluation <br />► Sites /Buildings: Will depend on type of operation that is targeted. <br />► Qualified Labor: There is a significant amount of existing skill in the area.
