Park Commission Minutes <br />October 8, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br />------------------------- <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BOUCHER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED <br />5-0. <br /> <br />5. Holiday Decorations in Trailside Park <br />5.1 Update by Bittner <br />Ms. Bittner stated that Katie Wasserman with the Chamber of Commerce is <br />planning on the Lighting the Park for Monday, November 30, 2020 and Santa’s <br />Bobbin into Town will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Ms. Bittner will <br />contact the Commission via email when she receives updates from Ms. <br />Wasserman on further details. <br /> <br />6. Lighting of Betsy Ross Flag <br />6.1 Update by Bittner <br /> <br />Ms. Bittner stated the City Council agreed to lighting the Betsy Ross flag at the <br />Council meeting on October 6, 2020. <br /> <br />7. Bean Hole Fence Art <br />7.1 Update by Chair Ronning <br /> <br /> Chair Ronning reached out to Katie Wasserman with the Chamber of Commerce <br />and Mr. Todd Knutson with the Pequot Lakes High School regarding the art for <br />the Bean Hole Fence. Ms. Wasserman will speak to the Bean Hole Committee <br />regarding adding the art on the fence. Chair Ronning has not received any <br />information back from Mr. Knutson. <br /> <br />8. Santa’s Bobbin into Town Float <br /> <br />Ms. Bittner asked the Commission if they would like to start a committee to do an <br />inventory of supplies, and/or make a plan as to how they would like to decorate <br />the float. <br />Commissioner Melby agreed to allow the Park Commission to use his truck, <br />trailer and generators for the parade. <br />Chair Ronning asked if anyone would like to volunteer for a committee to come <br />up with a design and do an inventory of supplies. Commissioner Boucher and <br />Schweinler volunteered for the committee. <br />9. Park Commission Vacancy <br />Chair Ronning stated there is still an opening on the Park Commission.
