City Council Minutes <br />December 1, 2009 <br />Page 3 of 10 <br />----------------------- - - - - -- <br />television. The proposal was for $5,500 excluding sales tax. Council <br />Member Ryan presented a second quote that he got from the internet at <br />$5,533.69 excluding sales tax. <br />Council Member Ryan stated that this could be funded from the $4,000 <br />from the Cable Commission and from the Council Contingency fund. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVE TO ACCEPT OFFER FROM <br />BIRCHDALE AND MOVE FORWARD WITH A PLAN TO BROADCAST <br />ALL PUBLIC MEETINGS. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. <br />Council Member Sjoblad noted that the sound quality for the Breezy Point <br />Council meetings was very poor. Mayor Adams stated she had concerns <br />with the budget and did not feel this was the time to purchase the <br />equipment. Council Member Malecha questioned if the system could be <br />used in other areas of the building if needed. She also questioned if <br />Council Member Ryan's bid could actually be considered as a second bid. <br />Council Member Ryan requested that the alternate bid he provided be <br />considered as a second bid. <br />�-- MOTION FAILED 3 -2. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN AND COUNCIL <br />MEMBER NAGEL VOTING AYE. MAYOR ADAMS, COUNCIL MEMBER <br />SJOBLAD AND COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA VOTING NAY. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to dedicate the money from the Cable <br />Commission for broadcasting public meetings on Cable TV in the future. <br />7. Planning and Zoning Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />7.1. Rezoning from Light Industrial to Commercial, Application by Donald <br />Babinski <br />Deb Brown, Planning Commission liaison, stated that Donald Babinski is <br />requesting a rezoning for a portion of his property from light industrial to <br />commercial. She indicated that the Planning Commission has <br />recommended approval of the rezone. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 09 -08 <br />�. AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF PEQUOT <br />LAKES REGARDING PARCEL ID NUMBERS 290154200A00009 AND <br />
