BLAEDC Update <br /> Mr. Glynn stated that the State of Minnesota has established a grant program to <br /> go to businesses. The grant program has$10 million in grant funding, which will <br /> first go to businesses that did not receive funding in their initial $62 million lottery <br /> back in spring 2020. <br /> Mr. Glynn stated the CARES Act funding grant process is coming to an end. The <br /> County and BLAEDC are currently gathering information from businesses in <br /> order to be able to award the funding to the businesses. In round 1 Pequot Lakes <br /> had 13 businesses for$122,000, Jenkins had 2 businesses for$20,000 and in <br /> round 2 Pequot Lakes had 10 businesses for$93,000 and Jenkins had 1 <br /> business for$10,000. <br /> 12. Citv of Jenkins Update <br /> Commissioner Lubke stated the City of Jenkins has started the process to apply <br /> for the John Schumer Small Cities Development Program grant. <br /> 13. Other Business <br /> Mr. Pedersen wanted to let the EDC know that there is still a vacancy in the <br /> Council. The Council will be accepting letters of interest until December 20�'. <br /> 14.
